For more than 20 years, Kathryn has shared her passion for the harp through performing and teaching. She loves the unique ability of this beautiful instrument to entertain, educate, and heal.
As a soloist, Kathryn has excelled at both a state and national level, earning nine consecutive Superior ratings at the American Harp Society Utah Chapter's Spring Festival. She has also performed as a Concerto Night soloist and won a Preliminary Talent Award at the Miss Utah 2009 competition. Her students have been awarded top ratings at the AHS Utah Spring Festival and the Royal Music Exams administered in Phoenix.
Kathryn studied with Julie Gaisford Keyes of the Orchestra at Temple Square and with Jessica Warren at Brigham Young University, where she also performed with the university harp ensemble. She went on to complete a master's degree in Learning Sciences, which gives her the ability to teach both children and adults with unique and effective techniques.
Kathryn lives in Gilbert, Arizona with her husband and two children. She is a busy wedding and event harpist and also enjoys teaching. Kathryn is a principal harpist with Millennial Choirs and Orchestras, with whom she performed in New York City's Carnegie Hall this summer. She also recently performed as a guest artist in several concerts with Salonnieres and provided music at the premier party for Cirque du Soleil's Amaluna in Phoenix.
